BlinnCollege

Located in Brenham, Texas is the oldest junior college in the state, Blinn College. With it's beginnings in the Methodist Church and a mission to train men for the ministry, Blinn College has since changed its direction. By becoming coeducational in 1888 and adding several academic classes to keep up with the local demand Blinn College slowly changed itself into a full time academic college. In 1937 it severed ties with the Methodist Church and became a public owned junior college, the first in the state.

Blinn College offers 2 year degree programs in the arts and science as well as one and two year occupational courses and vocational, technical courses at it's campuses. Many of the students that attend Blinn on a 2 year degree program transfer to a university such as Texas A&M in order to complete their university training.

Blinn College has 4 campuses, it's main campus is located in Brenham, Texas and the other three campuses are located in Bryan, Schulenburg, and Sealy. Blinn College currently ranks 11th in size in the state of Texas College System.
