CapeCodCommunityCollege

Located in W. Barnstable, Massachusetts, and known locally as the 4 C's by the Sea is the Cape Cod Community College. This junior college is a 2 year accredited college that gives its students the ability to earn their associates degree or to earn college credits that they can then apply toward a university of higher learning. They also have adult education classes as well as classes to equip students for life in the job market.

Established in 1961, it was the second community college to open in the state of Massachusetts community college system. It had 166 original students that came to the Cape Cod Community College when it first opened its doors. In 1971 it moved to its current location and has enjoyed nice growth since that time. It currently enrolls about 4,000 students per semester.

The Cape Cod Community College also offers a distance learning program through the Blackboard Course Management System that enables its students who are not able to attend classes at the local campus to log in to their classrooms via the Internet and receive their assignments. This has been a great help to many with schedules that do not allow them to attend classes on campus.
